Divorce

I work with men and women at all stages of a divorce proceeding, from the decision to file to post-judgment motions for enforcement or modification of existing orders. I also handle all issues related to or arising out of divorce, including child custody and parenting time, child support, alimony or spousal support, and the equitable distribution of marital debts and assets.

Child Custody and Time Sharing

I will help you establish and implement a time sharing (previously called visitation) arrangement that is in the best interests of your minor children pursuant to Florida's parenting plan statute, while protecting your rights and opportunity to parent. Together, we will identify the needs of your children and craft proposals that consider their educational, medical, religious and special needs. If there has been a substantial change in circumstances for either parent, I can help you file a petition for modification of previous time sharing orders.

Child Support

In Florida, child support is calculated by applying a state formula that includes the income of the parents, and the amount of time the child spends with each party. I will review all proposed child support agreements to ensure that they comply with Florida guidelines and that all relevant income, including self-employment income, seasonal income and commission-based income, is properly considered.

Domestic Violence

In my experience, domestic violence crosses all religious, ethnic, educational and socio-economic lines. At my office, I represent victims and those accused of domestic violence. I can help you obtain or challenge a restraining order. I have been awarded the Lighting the Way Award by the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence for my work in helping victims of domestic violence.

Paternity

In many instances, a determination of paternity is necessary to either establish a right to child support or time sharing (previously called visitation) or to deny the same. I represent men and women in paternity actions, offering affordable and experienced counsel.
